Haridwar is the holy place for a

of the river Ganges in the foothills of the Shivalik ranges. Haridwar is made
up of two Sanskrit words Hari + Dwar. In Sanskrit language, Hari means
"Lord Vishnu", while Dwar means "gateway".The word Haridwar
means "Gateway to Lord Vishnu".
Haridwar is located in the state Uttarakhand in North India and an ancient Hindu pilgrimage, where the Ganges enters the lower regions of the Himalayas. Haridwar,

Chandi Devi Temple Haridwar
The famous temple of Mata Chandi Devi sits on the eastern side of the river Ganges on the summit of 'Nil Parbat' of Shivalik Range. The Chandi Devi temple is dedicated to the Chandika form of Maa Shakti. You can reach the court of Goddess by foot or ropeway to see Chandi Devi. From the ropeway, you can see the beautiful view of Haridwar. How to reach Haridwar:
